This pair of small fan-shaped vases are finished in a white pearlized glaze and have stylized red blending with blue flowers pulled out to the sides forming a bow-like adornment. The flowers frame a small three-leaved stem with a bud or berry centered on the vase. Their blended colors create a lovely lavender shade which is echoed on the inside edge. The lines, flowers, and swirls of each vase are trimmed with 22 Karat Gold.
Each lily-shaped pottery vase measures 5-1/2 inches high at the back, 5-1/4 inches at the front, and 5 inches across the top. The narrow vases are each only 2 inches wide and stand on a 2-3/4 inch foot.
Each is marked simply with "Warranted 22 Karat Gold." Several U.S. potteries used this backstamp, most of these such as Sebring, American Limoges, Coventry, and Royal China were located in the Ohio River Valley circa the 1940s to the 1960s.
Each one has the very slightest, 2 mm wide, worn, flat edge chip on the outside at the widest tip. There are also a few places where the gold has worn. The beauty of these vintage vases is not dimmed by these flaws. The price is for the pair. We welcome you to enjoy browsing through MaggieBelle's Memories! Thank you!
