This timeless pattern from Fenton Glass is as beautiful today as it was when it was first issued in the forties. This Fenton Silver Crest Center Handled BonBon features a ruffled, clear, (silver) glass edge on snow white opaque glass. There is a silver colored center handle attached through the bottom of the dish with a screw.
Made by Fenton between 1942 and 1986, Silver Crest enjoyed widespread and long-lasting popularity. There is no mark. Fenton began embossing their logo on pieces in the 1970's, indicating this piece was made between 1942 and 1970.
This white glass shallow bowl features a worn, silver colored 4-5/8 inch handle in the center, and the bowl itself measures 8-inches in diameter and 2-1/8 inches deep.
Aside from the wear on the handle, the bowl is in beautiful shape. There is a factory flaw of a small indentation on the underside of the bowl that does nothing to detract from its beauty.
