This wonderful Weller Pottery stoneware utility jug is a lovely semi-gloss sea green color that is almost aqua. Horizontal concentric rings are molded into the undecorated pitcher's surface at 1-inch intervals. It has a sturdy D-shaped handle and molded pouring spout.
It is 6-1/2 inches tall and 6-inches in diameter at its widest. The opening at the top is about 4-1/2 inches in diameter and 8-inches across the handle and spout.
Made by Weller Pottery of Zanesville, Ohio circa the 1930s-1940s, it is incised with the Weller name on the bottom. Weller Pottery ceased production in 1948.
There are no chips or cracks, but there is large, heavy crazing on the inside. This heavy piece will also need cleaning.
