Offered here is a Set of Seven 22K Gold Mid Century Highball Tumblers by Culver Glass in the lovely Ice Flower pattern. Beautiful Calla Lilies on tall golden stalks circle each drinking glass. The trumpet-like blossoms and the wider leaves are fashioned of raised, frosted, and iridescent glass that is textured and fused onto the surface of the tumbler. Each flower is outlined in detail with 22-karat gold, which also is used to define the stems and leaves. A narrow band of gold rings the top and bottom of each glass.
Each tumbler measures 6-1/4 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches in diameter at the rim, tapering just slightly to 2-3/8 inches at the bottom.
Made by Culver circa the 1970s to 1980s, the original paper label is still attached to one tumbler and reads “22K Gold By Culver Made in U.S.A.”
Five of the seven have no condition issues. One of the other two has a 1/2-inch section along the rim that feels as though a bit of the frosted, textured glass adhered there. It is not sharp, and would not interfere with drinking from the glass. The seventh, the one with the label attached, has what is commonly known as a fleabite on the top of the rim. To the right of the label in the photo, it is not highly visible, but can definitely be felt. The condition is reflected in the price of this rarely seen set.
