This rich maroon and gold teapot by Hall China is in the Hollywood Shape. It is finished in a high gloss, solid maroon color and decorated with extensive gold trim on the handle, foot, cover, and top portion. A gold "crackle" design is sandwiched between gold bands on the top part of the teapot and on the cover.
This sweet teapot measures 10-1/2 inches across the spout and handle, 5-1/2 inches wide, and 5-3/4 inches tall, 6-3/4 with the cover.
Made by Hall sometime between 1930 and 1970, it is stamped with a circle with the word "Hall" enclosed and "Made in U.S.A." below. "Hall 0113 6 Cup Made In U.S.A." is also stamped in gold on the bottom. There is another numeral 6 off to the side.
Unfortunately, there is a 1/2-inch chip on the inside rim that is nearly hidden when the cover is on. There is some wear on the gold, and the inside is lightly stained. The inside rim and the underside of the lid are also darkened or stained. The condition is reflected in the price.
