Here is a bone china rectangular covered box in the beloved Ming Rose pattern by Coalport. Ming Rose has an Asian style floral motif of red, blue, and yellow flowers on a background of varying shades of green foliage. On this covered dish, the pattern is the central focus on the lid, and echoed on the corners of the front and back of the box. The top edge is decorated with gold trim.
The box is 1 inch deep, and about 1-1/4 inches high with the cover. It is 5-3/4 inches long by 3 inches wide.
The bottom is marked with the Coalport blue crown®, flanked by "Bone Chine, COALPORT, Made in England, Est. 1750," followed by "Ming Rose" in script and the number 54. The 54 is also on the underside of the cover.
This pattern was introduced by Coalport in the 1970's and discontinued around 1993.
There is a small dip in the underside of the lid and normal expected wear on the bottom. There are no other condition issues.
