This lovely Royal Chelsea Bone China Teacup and Saucer has a captivating design of delicate pink roses accented with a gold triangle. The pattern is numbered 4351A and has beautiful pink roses and other flowers accented with gold foliage that dot both the teacup and saucer. A garland of gold leaves rises and falls around the cup, and forms a triangle around the saucer. When the cup is placed on the saucer in a certain position, the gold from the saucer appears to form the triangle with the gold on the cup. Both gently scalloped pieces have a rim of tiny gold scallops, and the handle and the inside top of the cup are also trimmed with gold. The foot of the cup is heavily gilded also.
The teacup is 3-1/2 inches in diameter and 2-3/4 inches tall. The saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter.
Each piece is stamped in black with the arching "Royal Chelsea" followed by an anchor and the words "English Bone China, Made in England." There is also a pattern number 4351A hand written in red on the cup.
This set was made by Royal Chelsea circa 1951 to 1961.
The gold is worn and slightly tarnished, giving it a rose-gold cast on the scallops and on the foot. There are no other condition issues.
