D.C. Jenkins' Ocean Wave is a quality glassware pattern from the Depression Era of rippled horizontal rings, offered here in this beautiful green creamer and open sugar. The pointed handles mirror the ripple effect. This pattern from their Fountain Line is known as Ocean Wave or Tea Room #190. Jenkins' green is the deeper green of elegant glass, not the yellow-green of most depression era glassware.
Both the rippled glass cream and sugar measure 3-inches in diameter. The sugar is 5-inches across the handles and the creamer is 4-3/4 inches across the handle and spout. Both have a 2-5/8 inch foot and are 3-3/4 inches tall.
This pattern was made by Jenkins during the 1920s and 1930s. There is no mark.
There are a few bubbles in the glass, and the creamer has a factory flaw of a slight dip at the top of the mold seam near the handle. There is also a very small nick along the outer rim of the creamer that can catch your fingernail, but does not detract from the lovely lines of this piece.
