This Crown Devon small square bowl features the Cameron Tartan banner with sprigs of purple heather flowers and kelly green foliage. The embossed scrolled and scalloped rim is accented with two more sprigs of heather at the lower corners. The rim is edged with brushed gold trim. "Cameron Erracht" is written in green block letters beneath the plaid tartan.
The matching green backstamp has a crown with the words "Tartan Series Crown Devon Fielding's Made in England." Purple heather flanks the mark on the left and right. There is also an incised "A553" on the back of the bowl. The backstamp indicates the bowl was made by this well-respected Stoke-On-Trent pottery company circa the 1930's.
This sweet little pottery bowl measures 5-inches across and 1-inch deep.
The bowl is heavily crazed but not discolored, and there is no other damage.
