This beautiful Coalport bone china gold encrusted luncheon display plate is decorated with ornately detailed burgundy red batwing panels alternating with enameled bouquets of multicolored flowers. Each red panel is outlined and overlaid with gold details of vines and flowers. A gold lattice panel is centered near the scalloped and beaded edge of the plate which is also heavily trimmed with gold.
Made by Coalport, the pattern, number 3086/E, is sometimes seen in green and deep blue, but this burgundy red is an unusual find.
The Bone China plate measures 8 inches in diameter. It is marked with the current green underglaze Coalport Crown mark that was first used in 1926 and reads "Coalport Bone China, Made in England, AD 1750." The pattern number "3086/E" is added by hand in gold. There is an additional small gold mark below that.
There are no condition issues.
