You and your guests can enjoy a little nip in style with this stunning set of five Mid-Century Glass Culver Antigua 22K-Gold Stem Cooler Cordials. Culver called this shape a stem cooler and produced them in various sizes. This tiny one is just right for a cordial. Culver had a secret process for applying their 22-Karat gold in layers to create a three-dimensional, textured effect. A wide gold crackle band with oval windows encircles the bottom of each tiny glass, and a narrow gold band with oval impressions circles the top. A pale green reverse can be seen within the crackles when held to the light.
Each little Hollywood Regency style cordial measures just 2-3/4 inches tall and 1-1/2 inches in diameter.
The Antigua pattern was so popular that Culver made it from the 1950s to the 1980s. There is no mark. Many of Culver's pieces were marked only with a paper label.
The gold shows only minor wear, mostly on the seam of the wider band, and the signature textured gold is very much intact. There is no damage to this tiny and opulent set.
