This sweetly romantic Dresden-Like Lace Trimmed Miniature Shoe was made by Heirlooms of Tomorrow of Manhattan Beach, California. The cream-colored ceramic shoe is fashioned in the style of the French Aristocracy of a few hundred years ago. Delicate, gilded, ruffled porcelain lace adorns the open edge and covers the toe of the high-heeled slipper. Tiny, realistic pink porcelain rosebuds are applied to each side with a third rose, which is finished with gold-tipped green leaves, on the toe. The shoe itself has a quilted texture.

This tiny shoe measures just 2-3/4 inches long by 1-1/2 inches at its widest. It is 1-3/4 inches high at the heel tapering to about 1/8-inch at the toe.

The silver on blue foil label inside the shoe reads: “An Original by Heirlooms of Tomorrow, Manhattan Beach, Calif. " The bottom of the shoe also has the blue shield backstamp bearing the Old English 'W' & 'B' (a tribute to the founder, William Bradley,) and "Heirlooms of Tomorrow, Made in U.S.A." The backstamp is finished with the numerals 333 and 21 in gold.

Heirlooms of Tomorrow was founded in Manhattan Beach, California in 1944 and became California Originals after 1955.

As is common with porcelain lace figurines, the delicate lace has broken off in places especially on the heel, with some additional breakage on the side, yet not enough to destroy the beauty of this fragile little piece. Please examine the photos carefully.
