This sleek mid-century glass Pansy Bowl and Liner set was made by Fostoria for their Seascape line in the Pink Opalescent color called Coral Sand. Seascape was made in unmistakably Mid-Century Modern shapes such as this tapered bowl that rolls in at the rim. The Coral Sand color is a beautiful soft pink opalescent shade that nearly glows with the reflection of light.
This mesmerizing small bowl is 4-1/2 inches in diameter and 2-1/4 inches high. Originally made for the slightly larger mayonnaise bowl, the underplate is 7-3/8 inches in diameter with a 2-inch cup ring that fits this bowl's 2-inch ground and polished bottom.
This unmarked pattern was made by Fostoria from 1954 to 1958.
The plate has a 1/2-inch surface scratch and three tiny nicks on the rim, just big enough to catch your fingernail. These do not detract from the overall beauty. There is no damage to the bowl.
