This stunning RS Tillowitz Silesia Two-Tiered Cheese and Cracker Serving Plate is adorned with semi-glossy white Camellia blossoms on a matte green and cream background. There is a pair of open white flowers in the center of the top tier and a bouquet of three of the single white camellias opposite each other on the lower tray. A trio of curled green leaves accented with gold decorates alternate compass points of the lower tray. A gold band of scrolls and conventionalized tulips encircles both the upper and lower tiers, and the edge of each is trimmed with gold.
Made by Reinhold Schlegelmilch, (R.S,) the backstamp bears the green underglaze RS Tillowitz, Silesia Wreath and Star mark, dating this piece to the 1920's and 1930's.
This two-tiered porcelain plate measures 2-3/8 inches tall. The bottom tray is 9 inches in diameter while the top is 4-1/2 inches.
There is some minimal wear on the gold consistent with age but no damage to this lovely piece.
