You'll love the flowing shades of deep forest green in this vintage Mt. Clemens Pottery Petal creamer! This Dark Green Creamer was made by Mount Clemens Pottery around the 1930's or 1940's. The pattern consists of an embossed petal pattern around the rim of the creamer. The creamer has Mount Clemens' characteristic high, closed handle. The deep green color is lighter on the raised embossed places and has flowed to be very dark into the lower places between the petals.
This green pottery creamer measures 3-1/4 inches tall, sloping up to 3-1/2 inches at the lip, and 3-5/8 inches at the handle. It is 3-1/8 inches in diameter and stands on a 2-1/2 inch foot.
It is marked simply with "U.S.A." embossed on the bottom of the bowl.
It has non-discolored crazing that is more easily seen in the pictures than to the naked eye. It is not highly visible on this dark color except in bright light. There is also one hairline crack on the edge, about an inch in front of the handle. It is about an inch and a half long, and it does go through to the inside. The bottom inch of this crack disappears into the edge of one of the petals. The price reflects this damage.
