Fall in love with this Crown Potteries yummy mint green gravy boat for your summer table! This gravy with an attached underplate has an exceptionally pretty 1-1/2 inch mint green rim on both the under plate and on the top portion of the bowl. On a cream-colored background, rings of gold encircle the outer edges, the foot, and delineate the separation of the green rims. The embossed tab handles are also accented with gold. The inside of the gravy bowl has two multicolor floral decals opposite each other.
Made by Crown Potteries of Evansville, Indiana circa 1947, the underplate of this vintage pottery gravy measures 7-1/2 inches across the tab handles, while the bowl is 5-5/8 inches across the two pouring lips. The total height is 3-1/2 inches, with the bowl being 2-1/8 inches deep.
It is marked in green underglaze with "Crown Potteries" arched over a crown with "Made in U.S.A., 10 47" beneath the crown.
This lovely sauceboat shows only normal wear mainly on the gold trim.
