This Block Optic Green Depression Glass Sherbet was made by Hocking Glass between 1929 and 1933.
Named for its block design, this pattern has horizontal rings and a vertical optic molded into the glass forming concentric rows of blocks.
This sherbet measures 3-3/8 inches tall and 3-3/8 inches in diameter. The rayed foot is 2-1/2 inches in diameter.
This unmarked pattern was made by Hocking Glass from 1929 to 1933.
There is a bit of inner rim roughness, commonly caused by stacking, right near the mold seam. There is also wear and roughness on the mold seam on the underside of the foot. This does not impact stability.
The Block Optic pattern was made in several variations. This is the slightly taller, thinner Block Optic sherbet pictured on top in the last photo. The two slightly shorter, heavier Block Optic sherbets are also available in my shop.
