This Stippled Band Amber glass Child's Play-Time Set by Akro Agate includes two cups, one plate, and a pitcher. Stippled Band was the first of Akro Agate's Play-Time Glass Toy Dishes, and features clear glass with a stippled band of tiny xxxxx's around the rim.
The sweet little cups are 1-7/8 inch diameter and 1-1/4 inches tall with closed triangular handles. The pitcher is 2-3/8 inches tall, and 2-1/4 inches diameter, 3-1/4 across the handle and spout. The plate is 3-1/4 inches in diameter.
Stippled Band was made by Akro Agate only in 1935 and 1936, making it a special find because it was only made for two years, and the first of their venture from marbles into children's play sets of toy dishes.
Each piece is marked with the embossed Flying Crow through A mark.
One of the cups has a tiny pinpoint-sized smooth nick on the inner rim, and the pitcher has two tiny nicks on the inner rim that are a bit rough. There is no other damage.
