This Fenton Double Crimped 10-Inch Bowl is stunning in its simplicity. The pattern is known as Rose Crest and features a clear, pale pink ruffled glass edge encircling the double crimped milk glass bowl.
Measuring 10-inches in diameter, this beautiful bowl is 3-3/4 inches deep. Rose Crest was made by Fenton only between 1944 and 1947, making it rather hard to find. There is no mark since Fenton used only paper labels until 1970 when they began adding an embossed logo.
There are three small nearly equidistant spots that may be popped bubbles or kiln marks in the white glass near the pink crest. There is also a 1/4-inch horizontal deep scratch across the white of one of the ruffles. This is still a gorgeous example of a vintage Fenton piece.
