This beautiful pair of Coalport Bread and Butter Plates are adorned with romantic pink and blue florals and accented with gold. The pattern number, Y3223, is a design of medium pink roses and blue flowers in a band with greenery around the rim with a floral nosegay in the center surrounded by a thin gold ring. The centers of the two plates are of different flowers. Gold florals dot the plate, and the scalloped rim is decorated with gold scrolls and is also edged in gold.
Each of these fine porcelain Coalport plates measures 6-5/8 inches in diameter.
The backstamp in green is the Coalport Crown with the words "England" above and "Coalport A.D.1750" below. There is also an incised mark that is difficult to decipher, but may be "I4H7." This backstamp was used by Coalport China from 1970 to 1983.
There is very slight wear on the gold, and one plate has a place on the edge where the gold has been touched up. Otherwise there are only normal surface scratches and wear on the underside of each foot.
Priced together as a pair, you will receive both plates.
