This Sadler England Blue Rose 1-1/2 Cup Single-Serving Teapot is just right for pampering yourself on a cold winter day! Numbered #7200, this Swirl teapot is decorated with Gold Trim. On a cream-colored background, the pretty swirl pattern is outlined in gold and a spray of blue roses adorns both the front and the back. The slightly indented gold lines on the top form a spoke pattern that matches up with the swirl lines on the teapot. The finial is gilded, and the spout, handle, and foot are all gold-trimmed.
This 12-ounce teapot measures 3-3/4 inches tall at the rim and 4-inches with the cover on. It is about 4-inches in diameter at its widest spot, and 6-3/4 inches across the handle and spout. It stands on a 2-3/4 inch diameter foot.
Made by Sadler circa 1937 through the 1950s, the embossed mark reads "Sadler England" and the pattern number “7200” is handwritten in gold. A vertical line runs through the first numeral.
The only signs of wear are a small amount of gold loss at random places such as around the rim or within one of the gold swirl lines and expected shelf wear on the foot. There are no cracks or crazing.
A great gift for someone special, or pamper yourself with this sweet teapot!
