Here is a darling set of two Depression Era Child's Teacups in Pumpkin Orange Concentric Rings by Akro Agate Glass. In this version of Concentric Rings, eight narrow rings circle the middle of each cup, leaving a wide, plain band around the top and bottom. The closed triangular handles are made up of wide bands that form three horizontal ridges of glass on each handle. Akro Agate's pumpkin color is a peach to orange slag glass with some lines and swirls in the glass and ranging from the paler shade on the outside to a deeper, red-orange on the inside of each cup.
These sweet little cups are 2-1/4 inches in diameter and 1-3/8 inches tall with closed triangular handles.
Made by Akro Agate during the 1930s and early 1940s, each is marked with the signature embossed Flying Crow through A mark.
There is a small amount of inner rim roughness, commonly caused from stacking, on both tiny cups. The slag pattern in the glass forms a 1/4-inch crescent shaped crevice on the bottom of one cup. This is not a crack and does not go through. There are no other condition issues.
