This splendid Hall China Gold Decorated Maroon Teapot is the 6-Cup Los Angeles shape. The high gloss maroon is decorated with a band of drizzled gold filigree on the shoulder and the foot of the pot and around the rim of the cover. The handle, strainer spout, and pointed finial are also trimmed in gold. The ribbed and footed shape drizzled with gold make this an elegant teapot to indulge yourself with on cold winter evenings or for your next tea party!
This sweet teapot measures 9-inches across the spout and handle, 6-inches wide, and 5-3/4 inches tall, 7-1/2 with the cover.
The shape, color, and gold decoration together date this teapot to the 1930s.
It is stamped with a circle with the word "Hall" enclosed and "Made in U.S.A." below. A second stamp, in gold, reads "Hall 093 6 Cup Made In U.S.A." There is an imprinted "Rg" on the bottom as well.
There is minimal wear on the gold, and the part of the rim that is nearly hidden by the cover is tea-stained, and there is expected shelf wear on the bottom of the foot. There are no other condition issues.
