Dainty Violets for February decorate this Bone China Teacup and Saucer, second in the Royal Albert Flower of the Month Series. Clusters of dainty purple violets accented with green leaves and tendrils are on both the front and back of the Hampton shape cup. The saucer has two matching sprays, one larger than the other two and covering much of the saucer rim. The gently scalloped rims of both the teacup and the saucer are edged with gold, and the inside rim of the cup also has a ring of gold. The high handle and the circular foot are also finished with gold trim.

Called simply "Violets, No.2," the cup measures 3 inches in diameter and 2-3/4 inches tall, and the saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter.

Royal Albert introduced this Bone China Flower of the Month Series during the 1950's. Violets was Number 2 in the Series for February.

Made by Royal Albert China during the 1950s and 1960s, the back stamp is the Black crown followed by the words "Royal Albert Bone China England, Flower of the Month Series, Set of Twelve, 'Violets' No. 2."

There is minimal wear on the gold, and there are no other condition issues.
