Go retro with this Minton 'Meadow' Bone China Cigarette Holder. The Meadow pattern is a design of various flowers. One side of this cigarette holder is decorated with a spray of blue asters, the other side has a spray of deep pink blossoms and greenery.
This charming Bone China cigarette holder measures 2-1/4 inches tall and 3 inches across the top. It is just 1-1/4 inches wide, and if not for cigarettes, it would make a sweet vase for those tiny violets of spring.
The backstamp is a blue-gray underglaze "MINTON' across a laurel wreath topped with a crown. "Founded 1793" sandwiches the Minton name. "Bone China, Made in England" below the wreath finishes the mark. There are also two tiny artist's marks on the bottom, one in gold and one in red.
This pattern was made by Minton between 1962 and 1981. There is normal wear on the bottom, and a stray tiny gold mark to the left of the blue flowers. There is no damage to the piece.
