There is no mistaking the look and feel of fine quality Lenox in this Pink and White Shell Shaped Candy Bowl. In the Lenox signature blush pink color, the sides of the oblong bowl have beaded ribs with irregular pointed edges to resemble a seashell. A white curled scroll handle is at one end.
Originally marketed as giftware in mid-century, this elegant bowl measures 6 inches long by 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall.
The backstamp is the Green L in wreath followed by "Lenox, Made in U.S.A." This mark was used by Lenox circa 1931-1955, and this type of ware, as well as the pastel color, were popular during the 1950s.
There is one small discolored glaze pop on the side near the bottom that looks much larger in the picture. It is hardly noticeable when the dish is right side up. There is no other damage.
