This lovely brunette lady in red mid century figurine is dressed in turn-of-the-century fashion complete with bustle and muff. This well-dressed lady strikes an aristocratic pose as she braves the winter weather. She wears a gown of deep rose, complete with bustle, and carries a stylish muff against the cold. The folds of her skirt are speckled with gold trim and drape prettily beneath the semicircular curved folds of the wide sash that draws around her bustle into a fashionable bow at the back. Her leg-o-mutton sleeves disappear into her black gloves, and the V-shaped bodice comes up to a high collar with gold edging. Her left hand is partially concealed inside a white muff with the black patches of the finest ermine. She has green eyes and a rosy heart-shaped mouth in a demure face. Her brunette hair is pulled back in a high chignon, and she wears a matching fashionable pillbox hat with a large mint green plume to match her eyes.
This vintage lady figurine measures 7-3/4 inches tall and 3-5/8 inches by 3-3/8 inches at the hem of her skirt which is the largest dimension.
Popular circa the 1950s to 1960s, this type of figurine often had only a paper label, which has disappeared.
There are two pinhead sized spots on her right hand where the glaze is missed, one on her index finger and one on the end of her thumb. There is a rough spot on the pleat of her skirt on the left, but this is under the glaze. There is also a bit of red glaze on the end of her snow white muff.
