This striking 1930s Black Satin Glass Vase was made by Tiffin in the Poppy pattern. The pattern, sometimes called "Poppies," is recognizable by its detailed large raised poppies that grow up the sides and encircle the black satin glass of the vase.
This vintage vase measures 7 inches in diameter at the widest, the opening and the foot are each 3 inches in diameter, and it is 5-1/2 inches tall.
Made by Tiffin Glass of Ohio during the 1930s, it is not marked.
There is some inner rim roughness, and the underside of the top seam on the outer rim has several tiny nicks all around it. These are not much of a distraction and will be completely hidden when filled with your peonies or other spring flowers. The white dots seen in the photos are pinhead sized and may clean off, as several already have been removed. The condition is reflected in the price.
