The Imperial "Beaded Block" Pink Depression glass round lily bowl has crisscrossed rows of "beads" molded into the glass forming blocks in between. The top of the bowl is curved in with a zigzag rim, and the foot has a beaded rayed motif in the bottom. The pattern is Beaded Block #710, and the blocks of this bowl are in the stippled, frosted pink variation that collectors term "Frosted Block."
This round lily bowl measures 4-1/4 inches in diameter across the top opening, 5-1/4 inches across the widest part, and 2-5/8 inches deep.
It is not marked. This bowl was made by Imperial from 1927 into the 1930s. Pieces in this pattern were remade in the late 70s and early 80s and clearly marked with the IG mould mark. This bowl is of the earlier vintage since there is no mark.
There is a 2-inch scratch in the bottom of the bowl, and there are a couple of small places where one of the "beads" have been nicked off. These are difficult to spot and can be felt more than seen. There are also a few bubbles in the glass from the manufacturing process.
