A popular pattern, this 7 piece Northwood Golden Peach Water Set in emerald green features a gilded branch of three ripe peaches with a trio of stippled leaves on both the front and back of the heavy glass pitcher. A raised golden rope edge rings the top and bottom of the pitcher, which is topped with a golden scalloped edge.
The matching smooth rim tumblers have 12 narrower panels and a branch of two peaches on the front and back.
Introduced as "Peach" by Northwood Glass in 1912, the pattern also became known as Golden Peach and Peach and Cable.
The 12-paneled Pitcher is 7-1/2 inches tall, 8-1/2 inches at the lip, and 5-1/4 inches in diameter, 8 inches with the handle and spout. It stands on a four and a half inch diameter circular foot. The tumblers are each 4 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter.
Once lavishly gold encrusted, each piece is marked with the Northwood N in circle. Though the gold is faded and worn, it is still quite good on the stippled leaves. There are a few bubbles in the glass of some of the tumblers. There are no chips or cracks in this heavy glass.
