RaRe PALAIS ROYAL LYRE Shaped SEWING NECESSAIRE; Antique French c1830

This rare lyre shaped sewing box is French and is from the Palais Royal in Paris.
The box is made of rosewood with light wood fillets. Inside the top you find original purple silk with white and purple chenille trim on the cover and original purple velvet on the base.
The tools include a pair of steel and silver scissors (3" long with repair),
sterling needle,silver thimble ,silver stiletto and a bodkin.
The condition of the box is excellent, just a little bit timeworn. It has the original brass button and closes properly.
