Torrent Engine House, as decorated June 16th, 1870 for the dedication ceremony of the Soldier's Monument which has just been set in Oak Hill Cemetery on June 8 - it came the 3rd (written on back of mount in old script ink). (Bucksport, Maine). R.H. Emery (blindstamp along left bottom of mount). Note the fire pumper on the right and the firemen also on the balcony. Decoration sign reads "The Waters of Oblivion Quench Not the Fires of Memory". About VG to VG+ condition. Slt light, slt edgewear, vslt dirty.
