This is a remarkable antique statue. It is a highly detailed carving of the Blessed Virgin Mary holding a young Christ in her arms. The artist's skill can be seen in the wonderful expressions on their faces, the voluminous folds of Our Lady's gowns, and the amazing detailing in her hair. Wonderful.
