Description: Offered here are a rare pair of Southern coin silver (tested) salt spoons. They have a fiddle shape with a Sheaf of Wheat pattern, and an "A" monogram. They were done by Charleston silversmith James Eyland. What a find!
Period: Georgian (1713 - 1837), this pair is circa 1820s).
Hallmarks: J. Eyland
Information/History: James Eyland was born in 1795 and died in 1838. He only worked between 1820 - 1827.
Measurements/Size: 3 3/4", and the pair weighs 13.96 grams.
Condition: Very good, some scratches (typical of age and use), but NO repairs or cracks and have only been hand polished.
