Vintage 1937 English Coronation Commemorative Sterling Spoon With Royal Portraits And Enamel Decoration. This 1937 commemorative sterling coronation spoon measures 4 5/8" in length. On the top are the portraits of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Their crowns are shown in red enamel. Surrounding them are the words "King George VI-Queen Elizabeth" in silver on a blue enamel ground. Below is a white enamel ribbon with the word "Coronation" in silver. Below is the date 1937. The spoon is marked on the back of the bowl: "J.W.T (maker), Anchor (Birmingham), Lion (sterling), N (letter date) 1937". The spoon is in excellent condition and the images are sharp.
