Bent Glass Novelty Co. wisteria leaded glass floor lamp, circa 1908. Massive leaded glass shade was made after the style of contemporary Duffner & Kimberly, and rivals Duffner's work in quality with wisteria and vine decorations on a semi-geometric caramel glass background with an irregular border. Shade tops solid quartersawn oak base, which has been heavily carved from top to bottom. Base features six turned and carved tiers with fluting, foliate detailing, scrollwork and egg-and-dart motifs, with excellent flake throughout. Six socket fixture offers plenty of illumination, and the base has been rewired with period-appropriate cloth wire. Measures 81 inches high, with a diameter of 16 inches at the base and a shade diameter of 25 inches.
