Hand-Turned Wooden Bowl -One of a kind "catch all"
The pictures tell all except for the measurements.
The ththalo green bowl stands 1 3/4" high and 3 3/4" wide with an opening of 3/4 inch. A very small silk flower would be exquisite in it for display.
This wonderful piece of art was designed and crafted by Lenny Langevin. Lenny was in business restoring antiques for 43 years and retired approximately eight years ago.
His apprentice after years and years at Lenny’s side continued the business.
As his apprentice became more and more experienced it gave Lenny the time to make “pretty things”.
Oh brother did he ever do that.
First came the “Christmas tree ornaments.” (We still have a few left on Ruby Lane in VanBibber Antiques.)
Then came the doll furniture.
Then he experimented with “how” small he could make anything out of wood. I saw his “tool set” carved out of wood that all fit on a penny. This man is amazing.
This bowl is one of the pieces of art that Lenny had in his shop. I bought four bowls and this is one of them. Oh yeah, he also painted them and left the wood grain and turnings visible. It has taken me a while to list two of these on Ruby Lane but that is WHY I bought them. I need to remember that at times.
