Pair Antique 11” Amphora Max Emanuel Vases
This pair of 1895-1917 Art Nouveau porcelain vases was manufactured by Max Emanuel & Co. The l1” tall vases are about 5 ½” in diameter at the belly and ‘ in diameter at the base. The floral motif colorful flowers is framed by a gold ground at the base and the top of the belly through the neck and up to the rim. There are small gilt flowers in the gold ground with gilt on the handles and rim. The vases have the Max Emanuel three rifles above “Manufactured in Austra”. One vase has an impressed “563” and “15” on the base, the other has an impressed :563” and “26”. Both vases have a gold “K” and a cursive “AC” or ‘AE” on the base.
The vase is in overall very good to excellent condition with no flakes, chips, cracks or hairlines. There is wear to the gilt on the handles and rim as can be seen in the photos.
