8 ½” Teplitz Amphora Porcelain Vase
This circa 1900 Art Nouveau porcelain vase by Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel has a four-sided shape with a round base. It is decorated with a floral design of painted irises with their leaves and petals accented in gilt. The four vertical ribs and the mouth of the vase are highlighted with a gilt accent. This ivory ground is the perfect canvas for the irises. The vase is 2 ¾” at the rim, 3 ½” diameter at the base and 5” at the widest part.
The bottom bears the RStK burnt in mark reading "RStK TURN Teplitz Bohemia" with the designation "Made in Austria" along with a mark reading "Amphora". There is also am impressed number reading "570". The vase is in overall very good to excellent condition with very minor wear consistent with its age.
