Reissner Amphora Four Handled Vase - Circa 1910.
This beautiful Art Nouveau vase stands 10 3/4" high and is 8" wide. The top is 3 ¼” in diameter, the base is 5 ¾” (not including the pillars). It has four curved pillar handles, a long neck, and has a textured, mottled surface with turquoise and bronze spots on an ivory ground. Hand decorated large stylized roses in yellow gold with black outline stems and leaves complete this perfect design with gilt accents on the rim, upper handles, and scattered spots.
The vase is stamped with the incised crown, a circled Austria and a circled Amphora used by the Reissner Amphora Works between 1905 and 1910. There is also an incised “8888” and “55” on the bottom. This antique vase is in excellent condition with no chips, flakes, cracks or repairs. There is very minor wear to the gilt on the rim.
