Antique Engineer’s Chain – 100’ (100 Links)
This antique engineer’s chain contains 100 links, each 12” long for a total length of 100’ feet. There are brass tallies marking every 10 chains and a brass handle marked “100 FT” at one end. The other end is missing the brass handle. The chain is unmarked as to the maker and it is in very good condition with very slight rust. Included with this chain is a chain repair kit consisting of two links and a round handle. O.K. the chain and kit did not come together, but how many surveyors have one in their collection? This is the only one that I have come across in more than 55 years as a surveyor.
