These magnificent 18 Karat white gold diamond and emerald drop earrings were most likely produced around 1980 when Usine Genevoise de Dégrossissage ( " UGDO" ) had introduced a new gold alloy with stabilsed grain which made the gold more suitable for polishing among other things. The shiny white gold beautifully corresponds with sparkling diamonds and the green emeralds of a good colour.
Similar emerald drop earrings are offered only once in a while at auction.
