This is a typical Barovier glass made pedant light made in Murano, Italy.
This style of glass with the rope twist surround and crimped edging was something typical of Barovier's glass during this period. This beautiful Murano Glass pendant lamp was designed by Ercole Barovier for his company Barovier & Toso in the 1940s. Specialized in art glass he invented numerous decorative techniques like ‘Rostrato’ which accentuate the roughness of the surface.
