An attractive pair of polished brass picture/photograph frames each with stylized flowers and foliage. These were made around 1900 and are probably Austrian or French in origin. The style was very popular until the outbreak of World War One. As was often the case they were not stamped or marked by the maker or foundry. At the time they were produced in large volumes. These are supported by a strut to the rear which also functions to keep the glass and picture/photograph in place. As they were in storage there are a few strips of cellotape to be seen!
