A rather old Opaque de Sarreguemines decorative plate with a stamp which dates it to the period 1875 to 1900. The primary , transfer, motif being that of an otter which has just caught its next meal! The rim decorated in an ornate scroll pattern with four other European beautiful wild creatures depicted, namely, the fox, a badger, a wild boar and a hare.

Condition : it does show its age somewhat! Has suffered from some crazing and there are some fine hair line cracks to be seen ( these are not deep ones , no deeper than the glazing ! ). Its is quite solid but does show its age.
