Pair of pearl and jade drop earrings; probably of Italian origin ( 1075 NA being for Naples ! ), the earrings are mounted in gold and consist of a small pi disc with a baroque pear shaped pearl suspended below. The pearls are of a substantial size. The jade appears to be of excellent quality - a few observers have stated that they could be untreated pieces of jade ! - they would have to be laboratory tested to ascertain whether they are in fact untreated pieces. Should they be untreated pieces then their value would be substantially increased! We are treating the pair as being treated jade when it comes to price !
The gold is stamped for 18 ct. ( '750' ) and also stamped with a star , '1075 NA' and ' Sito' ( the maker, presumably ).
Size : overall length : 6.5 cm. (2 9/16" ), the slightly larger pearl is 2.5 cm. ( 0 63/64" ) tall x 1.7 cm. ( 0 43/64" ) wide.
Weight : the pair weighs : 24g.
Condition : very good.
