An antique Saint Louis dresser garniture of two perfume bottles and dish, each piece acid etched and adorned with a majestic gilt decoration and each bottle topped by heavy faceted cut stoppers. The bases of the stoppers have been number etched to match the bottles. The smaller bottle bears the original Saint Louis paper label ( slightly torn ). Saint Louis pieces like these are not to be found every day and are highly collectible!
larger bottle : 16 cm. (6 19/64" ) tall, 6.5 cm. ( 2 9/16 " ) wide
smaller bottle : 14.5 cm. (4 5/64 " ) tall, 5.5 cm. ( 2 11 / 64 " ) wide
dish : L. 24.5 cm. ( 9 41/64" ) x B. 8.5 cm. ( 3 11/32" ) x H. 4.2 cm. ( 1 21/32" ).
Condition : Apart from one flaw ( see last photograph - dish has been chipped on one end's rim in the middle -which can, I believe, be touched up somewhat ! ) the garniture is in a very good condition. No other chips/cracks. The gilt has survived the years remarkably well - note however, the star shaped gilt adorning one stopper's top has a very tiny chip thereto.
Antique, French, 1900c., Saint Louis pair of perfume bottles and dish.
