Viennese cold painted small model of a bay horse.
Naturalistically portrayed as standing, his head turned slightly to sinister.
Date : circa 1900.
Dimensions : 6 cm. nose to tail, 5 cm. ear tips to ground.
Condition : the paint has suffered somewhat ( please see photos) otherwise very good - stands perfectly balanced on a flat surface.
No identifying stamps/ marks.
This is an example of a well cast bronze and its maker obviously appreciated the fine lines of a thoroughbred.
Vienna was quite famous for its naturalistic bronzes at the turn of the last century.
