Two V.B.S. glazed ceramic jugs/pitchers from around 1890. Of tapered panelled form with an orange / red trimmed collar and handle, some scroll work to the spout. Stamped impressively with a very old V.B.S. stamp to the base.
Condition : clearly, one can see from the photographs that the larger piece has been through the wars somewhat. It has a hair line crack to its base ( to the rear ) and a few small chips around the spout! The smaller piece's condition is good overall.
Size : large piece : 17.5 cm. ( 6 57/64" ) tall, a diameter of 16 cm. ( 6 19/64" )
Smaller pitcher : 16 cm. ( 6 19/64" ) tall, a diameter of 14 cm. ( 5 33/64" ).
Villeroy Boch Schramberg, pair of ceramic pitchers, circa 1890.
