On offer for sale is a very attractive Victorian era sewing or jewelry box dating to circa 1870. Made from rosewood with mother of pearl inlay, and rosewood ring lift handles. Approximate dimensions 12 1/4 inches long by 9 1/8 inches wide and 6 1/4 inches high. The condition is good for it's age with some to be expected age, wear, usage marks and other minor age related blemishes. A few very tiny pieces of missing mother of pearl, hardly worth mentioning along with a tiny little repair on the top, right front edge center panel. The mother of pearl inlay has a bird design. Original interior with some signs of usage and wear, but in otherwise good original condition. This could be used as a sewing box or jewelry box. Interior tray lifts out with a fold down flap in the lid for more storage. This is an extremely attractive, and very good quality piece. I can't imagine anyone would be disappointed with this piece, but please bear in mind it is a vintage item and will show normal signs of age as described.
